Dressing up fun for World Book Day

CHILDREN and staff dressed up as a character from their favourite books to celebrate World Book Day.

In a carnival of colourful costumes boys and girls embraced the event, which is organised by the UN to promote reading.

Children dressed in a host of different outfits, including dragons, witches, princesses, super heroes, characters from Dr Seuss books and many more.

Adults took part with gusto as well as they swapped their normal clothers for an array of outfits inspired by memorable literary legends.

Practically Perfect: Deputy Head Laura Foster and teacher Jackie Hindley dress as Marry Poppins, while student Emily Glover and receptionist Peter McKinney also get into character for World Book Day.
