Parent volunteers make a big difference

DEDICATED parents have been giving up their precious time by volunteering to help Selly Oak Nursery School.

Parents rolled up their sleeves just before the Easter holidays and spent several days weeding and digging in Forest School, front garden and OSC garden areas.

Meanwhile, intrepid mums and dad used some of their precious holiday time over Easter delivering leaflets to homes in the local area.

Head Teacher Mrs James said: "I would like to extend a huge thankyou to the parents who have given up their own time to support the School over the last few weeks.

"This is a reflection of the strong bond that we have built with our parents and carers and their help makes a real difference.

"The last year has been incredibly challenging for the School because of Covid-19 but the support of our dedicated parents has been vital in ensuring we come through it."

Parents or carers who are able to volunteer to help Selly Oak Nursery School can call the Paula or Pete in the School Office or email Miss Foster has also previously texted parents asking for more volunteers.
