Forest School

It was a momentous week in Selly Oak Nursery School (SONS) as our new children had their first session in Forest School.

All of our groups put on their waterproofs and wellies to investigate the wonderful Forest School environment.

At the start of the session children and staff sit together in base camp to discuss learning behaviours and how to stay safe in Forest School. This first session included a listening game and an introduction to the natural environment.

Forest School is a key part of the children's learning at SONS, where they enjoy a wide range of experiences.
